LOWER TAXES

Prosperity doesn’t come from Canberra, it comes from Australians willing to work hard, invest and build businesses.

We’ll back those Australians by removing barriers to investment, ending Labor’s tax grab with our Tax Back Guarantee, and giving small businesses certainty by making the $50,000 instant asset write-off permanent.

Every empty shopfront represents more than a business closing. Take a small walk down Rundle Street – the evidence of Labor’s failure is clear.

It’s someone’s dream. Someone’s livelihood. Local jobs lost and communities weakened. South Australians deserve better, and the Coalition has a plan to restore the confidence our small businesses need to thrive again.

CHEAPER POWER 

Affordable and reliable energy isn’t a luxury – it’s the foundation of a strong economy.

For too long, Australians have paid more while our energy system has become less reliable. This is not the right direction for a secure future.

The Coalition will restore balance by strengthening Australia’s energy security, lifting the nuclear ban, building a strategic fuel reserve and ensuring our energy policies put Australian households, workers and businesses first. Australia has the resources to power its own future. We should not rely on overseas fuel while paying higher prices at home.

LESS MIGRATION, MORE HOMES AND PUTTING AUSTRALIANS FIRST

Australia’s migration program should serve one thing above all: Australia’s national interest. That means Australians come first – starting with a roof over our heads.

The Coalition will cap net overseas migration below the number of new homes completed each year, so migration supports our communities instead of straining them. We’ll make the Australian Values Statement binding for every visa, and axe Labor’s housing taxes to boost housing supply by 35,000 homes.

Australians deserve a migration system that works for them – not one that leaves them competing for a home in their own country.

South Australia has the fourth least affordable housing market in the world. No young South Australian should believe home ownership is beyond their reach. With the right choices and our policies, we can restore the dream of owning a home for the next generation.

And on spending, we’ll restore fiscal discipline. That means putting a speed limit on government spending, paying down debt through a new Future Generations Fund, and investing at least 3% of GDP in defence. All while reining in welfare and future NDIS access that’s stretching the budget beyond what we can afford.

This is a serious plan to restore Australians’ standard of living and protect our way of life. Prioritising Australians, not leaving them behind.
